INTRODUCTION
ALAN CRICHTON CHARTERED QUANTITY SURVEYOR is a practice which was set up in March 1995 with Alan Crichton as Principal.
The Practice currently operates from premises in Westhill, Aberdeen and can cover contracts anywhere in the North East Scotland area.
Within the Practice we have now adopted a specialised approach to all technical operations, having particular expertise in the usual QS skills of Estimating, Cost Planning, preparation of Tender Documents, Post Contract Financial Control and Contract Administration, Mechanical and Electrical Services, Structural Engineering and Civil Engineering Work. Experience has also been gained over the years in the skills of Programming and Project Management.
An extensive part of all operations within the Practice is undertaken on computers with the use of computerised billing & taking off (Vector), CAD Measurement (AutoCAD), word processing, database, spreadsheet and programming software packages.
Following 8 years in local Private Practice as Apprentice then Junior Surveyor, Alan spent 2 years with a National Building Contractor before returning to Private Practice for 8 years with an International Practice as Senior Surveyor and laterally as Office Manager. References from present and previous Clients are available upon request.
Alan, as Principal, has as his specialities Historic Building Renovations, Property Maintenance and Sequestrations.
